Blog Hop Last Chance & Club Member Cards

Club Challenge

The challenge I set my club members in February was to use a Filigree or Flower Designer Brad on a card.  Take a look at the awesome cards they came up with:

This first card was designed by Dawn - love that layout - it's so versatile.

The second is by Kerry - I really like the criss-crossed ribbon - great use of scraps!

Maria came up with 3" x 3' cutie - such a perfect little card to accompany a gift.

Here's Pam's Valentine card to her husband - we didn't read inside - honest!  I love the way she layered up the Filigree and rhinestone brads.

Can you believe Patti has only been stamping a few months?  I can't!  This purse card is adorable and I love the glitter!

This felt flower frenzie was made by Sharon - fantastic card!

Sue made this sweet card - don't you love how she decorated the inside too!

Two Talented Stampers

Check out these gorgeous cards!  Each month I give my stamp club members a challenge - usually a little product to work with.  For the last challenge I gave them all an SU Top Note die-cut to play with and take a look at the beautiful cards they came up with.

Dawn P created a stunning criss-cross pocket card and used the Top Note as the insert.  I love those fresh colors and check out the rub-on on the grosgrain ribbon - this is really super work.

Pam C created this fun holiday card with her ballet blue Top Note.  I really like the way she mirrored the stitching on the Top Note with paper piercing on her oval.  And in the second picture you can see the great coloring job she did with watercolor wonder crayons.

Here is another card by Pam C using buttons from a challenge several months ago.  It uses one of my all time favorite SU sets, Delight in Life.  I love all the attention to detail on this card - the paper piercing, thread in the buttons and the delicate coloring.  Super job, Pam.

 

I can't say enough good things about these cards.  Thanks for sharing your work Dawn and Pam!

Club Member Cards

I want to share some more cards by my talented club members.  The Booglie Eyes card was made by Dawn P - don't you love the sponged clouds and grass?  I love this set - I wish it hadn't retired.

 

And here's another by Dawn made with two more sorely missed sets, Give Thanks and Weathered b/ground.  I love the the sponging on this card and the shading on the flower.

 

The next three cards are made by our mother/daughter tag team - Rhonda and Loretta.  These two ladies always make Stamp Club fun!  The first is by Loretta - I love how she partially punched out the square scallop shape.

   

The second was made by Rhonda.  I love this layout - I can't wait to try it myself with all my paper scraps.

   

And the final card is by Rhonda - those punched flowers look perfect with this Eastern Blossoms set.

More talent...

Here are two cards by two talented stampers!  The first was made by Sharon J.  Each month I give my club a challenge to complete (only if they want to!).  Several months ago, I gave them a piece of basic grey paper to play with and here's what Sharon came up with.  I love how she paired basic grey with sahara sand and the patterned paper and focal flower go so well together.  The sentiment is from Fresh Cuts.  Nice one, Sharon!

And here is a gorgeous card by my stamping buddy Dawn made last week when she came over to stamp. 

The set is a new from the catalog called Harvest Home.  She watercolored the main image with markers and an Aquapainter, then spritzed the whole piece with a close to cocoa marker.  The card base is chocolate chip and was stamped with the sadly retired Weathered b/ground stamp.  The watercolor panel is matted onto really rust and then kraft c/stock.  The photo corner is old olive.  I photographed it in pretty poor light, so it looks even better IRL.

Rhonda's Cards

I want to share with you a couple of great cards one of my club members, Rhonda P, made last month. 

The first uses Tart and Tangy plus Summer Picnic Paper.  I'm so glad that both these made it into the big catalog.  I love the way the card flips open when you remove the belly band.  Rhonda was inspired by a card she saw on Nancy Riley's blog, iStamp.  The design is called a Two Way Open Card and the instructions for making them are here.

Here's the inside:

Rhonda's second card uses Boho Backgrounds and the Boho Blossoms punch.  Do you notice how punched out some of the patterned paper with her flower punch?  Very cool idea.

Pretty Spring Card

Look at this pretty spring card that my stamp member Dawn made!  Isn't it gorgeous?  Their challenge this month was to use a piece of Ribbon Originals.  The stamp set she used is Love Matters from a mini catalog last year and the little flower from Delight in Life (SAB set from last year).  Dawn was also really happy to use on of her (many) colored Stazon pads!

Recipe:

• Stamps: Love Matters, Delight in Life (both retired)
• Cardstock: so saffron, pale plum, bashful blue and whisper white
• Ink: various plus blender pen, purple Stazon
• Accessories: Jersey Ribbon Originals, mat pack, paper flower and soft subtles brads

Talented Club Members

Look at these gorgeous cards my stamp club members made!  The challenge was to CASE something from one of Stampin' Up!'s catalogs and I think they did a wonderful job.

The first card was made by Pam using the Priceless set.  I love the way she cut up the individual letters in the sentiment - it's a really lovely card.

Maria made this cute Valentine card for her husband using Boatloads of Love.  I'm pretty certain he doesn't visit this blog, so we're not spoiling his surprise!  This a great case - I love it.

And finally here is Dawn's card.  She used an old hostess set, whose name I can't recall.  But if you like this look, Big Flowers would be a good substitute.  I particularly like this color combo of Close to Cocoa, Groovy Guava and Mellow Moss with a hint of So Saffron.  Love the use of layered ribbon, Dawn!
