I had 30 minutes this morning to make today's Color Challenge, so it's a fairly simple card. The colors to use were Real Red, Taken with Teal and Certainly Celery. Not colors I would put together normally, so this is what I came up with:
Thank goodness for designer paper! It's great to use when you're short of time and need to throw together a card quickly.
The card base is Certainly Celery and the next 3 layers are Real Red, Taken with Teal and Bali Breeze (it's new!). The sentiments from Celebrate Everything (new too!) are stamped with Taken with Teal ink onto Whisper White paper and Celebrate is layered onto Taken with Teal. The smaller sentiment was punched with the Word Window punch.
The ribbon is SU's wide grosgrain ribbon in Celery and the sentiment is attached to it with Linen Thread. The flowers are from the new Hostess set Time Well Spent. They were stamped onto watercolor paper with black Stazon and watercolored with aquapainter and ink. I cut them out, folded up the edges slightly and layered them together with a Tempting Turquoise brad. Both flowers and the Celebrate piece are attached with dimensionals.
Happy 2008 - enjoy this first day of the new year!

Oh, this is great - I was so worried about that particular piece of DSP... not crazy about it myself... but you make it look beautiful!! Great job!
